In case you want to give a softer and smoother appearance and finish to your slate flooring, you can either hone or sand the flooring.
Slate by nature is composed of several minerals and impurities. This lends the slate and thereby slate flooring an assortment of colors, including dark charcoal black, rust red, maroon, green and grey, that you can select from. You can also choose mottled slate that has a mix of all these colors.
